Chicureo
Dunalastair Chicureo
From a small house… to a large campus that continues to grow
The story of Dunalastair Chicureo began in 2004, in a little house full of dreams. Today, two decades later, those dreams have been transformed into a vibrant educational community of more than 1,800 students, with a 12.5-hectare campus that exudes sport, culture, learning and innovation.
A campus where anything is possible
The heart of Chicureo beats in its impressive Sports Campus:
- Two natural grass rugby pitches and one synthetic grass pitch.
- Two hockey pitches and two training pitches.
- A multipurpose space and fully equipped gym, the setting for musicals, graduations, assemblies, folk performances, House competitions during School Week… and moments that become lifelong memories.
A young community with giant achievements
In a short time, we have grown in size, students, staff, traditions, and values. And our achievements speak for themselves:
- Awards at the Cognita Challenge.
- Awards in literary competitions.
- Old Dunalastairs studying abroad.
- Talents who have gone on to play for national teams.
Here we celebrate every achievement as a triumph for the entire community.
Innovation and sustainability in every corner
Our commitment to the future is genuine:
- Large green areas that invite you to enjoy the fresh air.
- Solar panels that generate 70% of the electricity we consume.
- Spacious, well-equipped classrooms that can be adapted to different learning styles.
- Biology, Chemistry and Physics Laboratories to bring science to life.
- Fab Lab with 3D printer, cutter and laser printer, where ideas take shape.
- Bright art rooms, where creativity knows no bounds.
- Music rooms with instruments ranging from violins to drum kits.
- Separate libraries for Senior and Junior School, inspiring reading, research and discovery.
- Auditorium with unique architecture that hosts meetings and events.
- Official headquarters of the Dunalastair Club Dobs & Dunners, a meeting point for sport and community life, the space where we have the most alumni participating, either as coaches, players or both, a source of pride for our school.
