I was delighted to receive the invitation to join this Academic Advisory Board. <\/em><\/p>

On learning first-hand about the experience and track record of these schools – and in particular their pioneering work in pedagogical innovation, the many ways in which they help children and young people discover and ignite their power to learn, the robust professional collaboration between teachers, and the commitment and talent of their Head of School and management teams – I didn’t hesitate for a moment to accept. <\/em><\/p>

As a school at the forefront of educational innovation in Chile and Latin America, it has been a privilege to offer ideas, input and advice in response to the big and small dilemmas they face as they move purposefully towards deeper, more relevant and transformative education. <\/em><\/p>

Just a few months after starting my duties as advisor, I have learned a great deal from its Head of School Carolina Inestroza, Paz Nalegach and Virgina Campos, as well as from its Educational Lead, Claudia Baquedano, and from my fellow advisors John Mackenzie and Mal\u00fa Oropeza. <\/em><\/p>

I am honoured to be able to contribute as a critical friend, reflection partner and advisor, providing perspectives, tools and lessons learned during my 25 years of working with school networks and education systems in Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, Canada, the United States, Scotland, the Netherlands and Australia. <\/em><\/p>
