Results of the recent SIMCE test for Year 11 students have been published recently, and we are attaching a file that can be downloaded withinformation relevant to our school. It is interesting to note that there is no statistically significant difference amongst schools ranked in the top places (see Table 1.4) which makes one wonder why the Ministry bothered to rank them, after warning readers of this fact.

The level of language competency certified by this test is quite low, as it is equivalent to the European Uni  on’s Common Framework of Reverence level A2. The whole of our Year 6 have passed this level with flying colours, and many of them have achieved a higher standard than that!
