On Saturday night of the 19th of April, Pesaj commences and lasts for 8 days. During this time Jews commemorate the exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt.
The rites and traditions of Pesaj are closely tied to the foods that are eaten during this period. As a consequence of this the School’s cafeteria prepares a special Pesaj diet for our Jewish students. This diet does not include food made with ordinary flour, leguminous plants, cereals, corn, rice and soybeans, and will include Matzá.
It is important for parents to inform there children about this diet, and we would like to ask all parents from 1st to 4th Grade to let their form teachers know if they would like their children to eat the special Pesaj diet.
