The first outdoors activity in our school was a complete success, according to both students and their parents.
Last Sunday, August 2nd, children from 3rd Grade and their parents participated on an excursion to reach the top of one of the mountains that surround the school. The route had been traced before the activity by the organizers and was, of course, for “beginners”.
During the excursion, the group was given security advices, some knowledge of the natural environment and basic instructions on how to use a compass.
The activity, organized by Mr. Alvaro Espinoza and Teobaldo Dias, had the objectives of developing contact with nature, healthy habits and creating the sense of school community. The group was accompanied by Alejandro Vega, Outdoors instructor from Universidad Andrés Bello, and our Deputy Head Miss Mónica Le May who joined the group.
