OUR SCHOOL WAS VISITED BY A CHILEAN ARTIST
| On Monday April 4th our school was visited by the Chilean artist Luis Ramírez. He offered an art workshop for the students of the 5th and 6th grades. The objective of this workshop conducted by the artist was to teach drawing techniques and basic painting using charcoal and acrylic resins. All students enjoyed very much this experience and had the opportunity to talk and learn from him.
Luis Ramírez has more than 35 years of experience as a professional painter and has taken part in more than 100 international exhibitions both individual and collective. His work has been largely recognized. His artistic work is identified by an academic style, particularly his portraits, mural paintings and landscapes. Luis Ramírez lives in Canada and is a member of the Lantin American Association of Artists in Toronto.
His presence was highly motivating and captured the attention and the artistic sensibility of the students who showed their interest by making many questions and in the way they developed their works during the workshop.
We appreciate very much Luis Ramírez’ visit to our school and his contribution to the teaching of the artistic area.
