NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE DAY, JUNIOR SCHOOL PRESENTATION

Last Friday, September 25th our Junior School students danced the typical Chilean Dances.

The presentation began with a few words from our Deputy Head Mrs. Le May and our Head of Junior, Mrs. Denis Lay, both dressed for the occasion and the singing of both our National and School Anthem.

Then, our teachers, Pedro Machuca and Patricia Cubillos danced a traditional “cueca” that everyone enjoyed.

After that, the students presented different dances from the different zones of Chile. First Graders danced the “Sau-Sau” from Easter Island, 2nd Grades the “costillar “from the central zone, so did 3rd Grades with a dance called the “Chapecao”. At the end, 4th Graders presented the “Cachimbo” from the north and 5th, 6th and 7th danced the traditional “cueca” finishing the presentation.
