Today everyone enjoyed a great day of fun as we had our yearly Art Day.
In Infant School, Playgroup students worked on techniques from Jackson Pollock using a black background, glue and multi coloured wool.
Pre-kinder students painted different spring landscapes which were painted on the ground.
Kinder students made their own paper Mache hats and on them they painted different designs of famous painters like KLIMT, VAN GOGH, KANDINSKY and MONDRIAN.
When all the art was finished these were hung around the school for viewing. All students were delighted to see the different art, colours and techniques used.
Junior School had a lot of activities regarding artistic disciplines.
We began our day with a music concert. After it, 5th, 6th and 7th graders had music lessons with the performers.
Drama clubs presented either their plays or explanations about the activities they had carried out during the semester.
5th, 6th, 7th graders made sculptures based on Calder’s work.
From 1st to 4th grade, students made paintings based on different plastic artists such as Miró, Picasso and Van Gogh among others.
First and second graders designed and created costumes using different materials.
The whole of Junior school participated in our Song festival, in three different categories, there were lots of good singers!!!!
