Special needs department

The department is staffed by two qualified educational psychologists who work closely with our teaching staff, supporting them in their work with their classes on behavioural and learning issues. Where needed they will also provide classroom observation, and where additional help may be needed by a student, this will be discussed with his or her family in order to agree on the best way forward. The department also keep in touch with other professionals that may be working with our students, in order to coordinate efforts to provide them with the support they require, and to avoid these efforts being at cross purposes.

First Aid Centre
	The first-aid centre is staffed by fully-certified nurses throughout the school day. Minor injuries and ailments are dealt with routinely, while more serious accidents are sent to the clinic where each student has his or her accident insurance. Given that the school practises a lot of sport all parents are required to take out insurance that covers them in case of accident.

Lunch

A self-service lunch is provided by Austral Catering for parents who prefer this to students bringing their own lunch from home and option available to students from year 4 and above. Balanced menus are designed by nutritionists, and parents may sign up for this service at Austral’s office within the school.

Transport

	A bus service of independent operators, supervised by the school´s parents association, is available for parents who need to have their children transported to and from school. The service is also available in one direction, and parents may sign up for it at the beginning of the school year.
